An-Nar[]

The city of brass at day by stephengarrett1019-d7dka2o

(TEMPORARY TEXT) Elves also landed in V'yanoor, albeit in much smaller numbers. In the far north east of the continent is a closely guarded City of Brass where beings from the Plane of Fire have come to the Material. When the Elves of Maeron fled from the continent they joined their distant cousins near the Brass City. Their new found hatred of Humans echoed with the sentiments of the denizens of An-Nar, the massive city that had grown from the City of Brass.

The City of Brass lies in and around an extinct volcano.  Inside the volcano, most of the residents are salamanders and other entities from the plane of fire; whereas outside of the volcano you will find the city filled with predominately elves and other non-humans.  While humans are not forbidden, the laws of the city do not apply to them.  Furthermore, humans are considered lawless as the elves and the ruling class believe that humans are too dumb to understand the law.

Three ruling families exist in the City of Brass and only a member of one of those families can be Sultan, with the approval of the leadership of the other two families.

House of Masters - control all farms and slave labor. They maintain their power and position in the city through their immortal ancestor Sebkay, a powerful and secretive being.

House of Coin - handle all the money lending and banking. Their power and influence is ensured by the Djinni Janan Huda.

House of War - handle protection of the city and have their own mercenary companies. They hold in their possession the Brass Gate. With it, they hold the power to plummet the city into the Elemental Plane of Fire.

Current Sultan Tlaloc is from the House of Coin.
